Available careers at Morgan’s Wonderland

Admissions Representative: The admissions representative is responsible for checking in/out guests in a quick and efficient manner.  As an admissions assistant you will ensure proper reservation handling through our reservation system.  An admissions representative will handle on-line and phone reservations through the reservation system ensuring accuracy in the information they are entering.  Cash and credit transaction handling should follow cash handling guidelines at all times.  This position requires candidates to have strong guest services ethics, computer skills and the ability to stand for extended periods of time. Hosts with special needs can be accommodated where possible.

Ride Operator:  The Ride Operator is responsible for safely operating adventure rides for all park guests. This position will be trained to correctly operate adventure rides. Ride Operators will rotate to other ride operator positions throughout the park when needed.  The Ride Operators will have a Ride Host and volunteers to assist in maintaining the safety of the guest before, during and while exiting the ride.  This is a position for a responsible person who has the ability to learn the operation of the ride and its safety features.  Hosts with special needs can be accommodated where possible.

Ride Host:  The Ride Host is responsible for ensuring guests are safe and secure on adventure rides before, during and while exiting the ride.  This person will rotate to other ride host positions when needed. The Ride Host and Ride Operator work together, determining the operation of the ride throughout the day.  The Ride Host will have volunteer staff to assist him or her with guests. Hosts with special needs can be accommodated where possible.

Janitorial Services:  Janitorial Services ensure the cleanliness of the park is maintained at all times. Janitorial Staff will service and clean park restrooms, shower facilities, grounds and trash throughout the park as well as other tasks as requested.  Janitorial Services interact with guests and must know up to date park information and be able to give directions to park attractions.  This job requires the ability to lift 50-60 pounds, push a maximum 80 pounds and work in various weather conditions. Hosts with special needs can be accommodated where possible.

Sensory Village Host:  Sensory stimulation is important for everyone, but is especially significant for individuals with special needs.  Our Sensory Village is a unique small town featuring a grocery store, theater, vet clinic, auto fix it shop and a TV news station.  A Sensory Village Host greets our guests and monitors volunteers in each location throughout the town ensuring the volunteers interact with the guests while maintaining a clean and orderly flow. This job requires a person with great organizational skills and the ability to stand for extended periods of time. Hosts with special needs can be accommodated where possible.

Concessions and Merchandise Host:  The Concessions and Merchandise Host greets guests with a smile, assists with purchasing pre-prepared food choices, sundries and novelties and assumes the responsibility for a cash till.  Duties also include maintaining City of San Antonio sanitation and safety standards as well as light snack and beverage preparation as needed.  This job requires excellent math, computer and customer service skills. A Concessions and Merchandise host must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, work in a variety of weather conditions and stand for extended periods of time. Hosts with special needs can be accommodated where possible.

Event Center Host:  Being a Host in the Event Center & Gymnasium is for the person who enjoys sports and has a firm foundation in the rules of play for a number of different activities such as basketball, volley ball and tennis.  The Event Center Host is responsible for carrying out daily activities in the center and monitoring guests as they take part in activities.  This person should be familiar with adaptive sports, adaptive game play and posses the skills to guide individuals with special needs. Hosts with special needs can be accommodated where possible.
